2010 Team Prayer Concerns

Pray for our MCC team as we prepare and GO:

* For those who work – no problems before or during the trip and the Lord’s blessings upon employment, employers and colleagues.

* For those needing dog-sitters and house-sitters – that their needs and concerns be met.

* For the Missions team – that our passports will remain safely with us.

* For unexpected situations before departure – that God would resolve issues of car accidents, broken arms, and any unforeseen circumstances.

* For those needing medical/travel insurance – that a reliable company and reasonable rate can be obtained.

* For fund-raising letters – those that receive them would be generous and commit to prayer for the requester and team.

* For the teams’ financial needs – teams’ needs be met so we can GO serve in mission with Heidi Seltzer.

* Prayer for the mission (Foundation For His Ministry) and the country (Mexico) hosting our visit

* Prayer for the team’s willingness to be a learner (disciple) and accept a submissive heart as we head into Mexico Missions work.  In doing so, we accept His will and glorify His name.

* Prayer for the team’s gratefulness when accepting food.

* Prayer for good health and safety for all team members while away and their families at home.

* Prayer for the Holy Spirit to help each member be a true worshipper.

* Prayer for team unity; for all to work as one in harmony.

* Prayer for the team to be a living testimony of Christ.

* Prayer for each member to explore their individual gifts.

* Prayer for the team to emulate appreciation, understanding and trust for the culture and people we will meet despite cultural differences.  As God grants openness to our hearts and allows us to connect through love

.* Prayer that upon our return, God will use this experience to impact those involved in our lives

New Photographic Workshops 2010

Workshop in Golden Gate Park: "It's not about the Camera"

Friday, Saturday and Sunday March 20,21 and 22, 2010.

This workshop will focus on you learning how to see, which is really what art photography is all about, developing you photographic eye. We will meet up on Friday night for dinner and discussion. On Saturday, we will explore Golden Gate Park, photographing 19th, 20th and 21st century architecture, landscape, and portraiture. Saturday night, we edit images taken during the day. We gather again on Sunday afternoon to look the photos and discuss the work.

You will learn how to manage your digital camera, learn the rules of taking good photographs, such as "The Rule of 3rds", and understanding how to employ "depth of field." Once rules are learned, how then to forget them to free up your photography.

The class will be limited to 10. Cost $150.00. Fee does not include the cost of meals, transportation or entrance fee to the M.H. deYoung museum. If you reserve your space before January 29, 2010 by paying in full, you will receive a $50.00 discount.

All proceeds go to Main Covenant Church’s Mexico FFHM Missions Trip 2010.

Make your check payable to MCC.
