Because of Lance’s career, she has lived in various locations around the country (and world) before landing in Marin County in 2001. The Bardos have been blessed with three children: Daryl (college), Aaron (12th grade), and Amy (8th grade).

Beth has training in leading small groups through Women’s Bible Studies leadership; involvement in children’s programs included 12 years of AWANA Bible Club leadership up through Director positions and coordinating parts of Vacation Bible Schools since 1999. Born and raised on the coast of New Hampshire, Peter Batchelder serves as Pastor of Outreach at MCC. He and his wife, Beth have two grown children: Rebecca who lives in Honolulu and Seth who lives near them here in northern California. There are no grandchildren, yet! However, their home is also occupied by two dogs: Haydn - a standard French Poodle, Jasper – a Coton de Tulear and three parrots: Dulcie, Phoebe, and Jonah.

Peter began pastoral ministry in 1988 as associate at Bethlehem (Baptist) Church in Lake Oswego, OR, later becoming Lead Pastor there. The Batchelders moved in 1994 to the Los Angeles area, where Peter served as Director of Continuing Education at Fuller Theological Seminary until joining MCC in July, 2006. • sitting with Beth watching a good British serial.

Peggy Bonette

Peggy Bonette is MCC’s Office Manager, having joined the staff team in April of 1990. Peggy assists with administrative support to the staff and leadership team members. One of her primary duties as Office Manager is working with and assisting the Controller by overseeing the church’s financials and financial record-keeping. But if you ask any of the rest of the staff, they would just say that Peggy “makes the place run smoothly.”

Peggy lives in San Rafael. She has three married daughters (two living in the Bay Area and one in Southern California) and eight fantastic grandchildren. In fact, when she’s not working in the office, Peggy is usually spending time planning her next opportunity to see them.

She’s been the office administrator at MCC under the leadership of three of the Church’s four Lead Pastors.  Before that, Peggy held positions that included work in a Berkeley law office, service on a team of accountants, and personal secretary for the Personnel Director of an insurance company.

 Some Interesting Peggy Stuff:

She is the proud (and overly indulgent) owner of Jacques, a frisky Bichon Frise (that’s a small, white-haired dog with pink ribbons placed everywhere).

Peggy loves to sew.  In fact, she says that she finds it to be “very relaxing” - especially when making crafty things for her girls.

Cooking also makes Peggy’s list of favorite things.  Her table is often overfull on holidays and her kitchen is busy just about any time she has a chance to entertain.

Peggy may be quite and dignified, but she screams and giggles like a high school cheerleader when she rides in a convertible that is going fast.  It’s really something to experience!

Peggy hates the fact that deer get into her yard and eat here flowers but is too nice to bring herself to do anything about it.

 Peggy’s Favorite Phrase:   “Hi Grammy!”

Peggy’s Least Favorite Phrase:  “Jacques!  Get away.  That’s not a cat; it’s a skunk!”

Education:  Two years of study at a Berkley business college.

Zanne Dailey

Article Pic

Zanne (short for Suzanne) Dailey serves as Director of Devotional Arts, developing and shepherding the different arts teams that contribute to the worship gatherings at MCC. She believes that artistic expression should be an integral part of our worship experience; that the arts “allow us to express our hearts to God in unique and dynamic ways, deepening and enriching our relationship with Him.”

Born in Phoenix, AZ, she lived there with her husband Ron (also a Phoenix native) and their three children (sons Keenan, 19 and Alec, 15, and 10-year-old daughter Maggie) until the summer of 2006, when the family moved here to northern California. Getting used to a climate without six months of 100+ degree weather is a struggle, but they’re adapting!

Zanne admits to having her own Myspace page and recently revealed that she hopes to someday learn how to play the harmonica, and how to make mead.

Some Interesting “Zanne stuff”:

Zanne’s Favorite Phrase: “Can I get chocolate with that?” ‘nuff said.

Zanne’s Least Favorite Phrase: “Browser not supported.” She explains, “I just switched over from a pc to a Mac… so now I don’t get all those computer viruses, but oh, that frustrating anti-Mac ‘discrimination!’ ”

Some Of Zanne’s Loves: movies, reading, writing, road trips, esoteric philosophical discussions, the Sci-Fi Channel, and just hanging out with friends. Incomprehensibly to her friends and family, she loves watching tennis and track and field whether live or on TV.

Education: Bachelor of Fine Arts, Theatre Production, Arizona State University, M. A. T. in Biblical Studies and Theology, Fuller Seminary.

Originally from Colorado, Eliana has been married to her husband, Doug, since 1984. They have known each other, however, since 4th grade. “Actually, I wanted to marry him in 5th grade,” says Eliana, “It just took him a little longer to warm up to the idea - not until our 10-year

  • teaching piano lessons
  • legal secretary

Educational background: A.A. from Mesa College, Grand Junction, Colorado. Three years of studies at University of Wyoming as a Music Education major.
