Spiritual Praxis:

Ignatian Contemplation

Every week for this month

Luke 10:25-37 - The Parable of the Good Samaritan

  • Ignatian Contemplation is praying with Scripture, it is meeting God through the story.

  • Listen/read to the passage 4 times, each time engage the imagination and senses

    • Listen for broad strokes - Where? When? Who is there? What happens?

    • Pay attention to details - get more specific in the story, what do you notice?

    • Engage senses - what do you see, hear, smell, feel, taste?

    • Identify who you are - which character do you notice and recognize?

Praxis Question: What did God reveal to you in your contemplation of the parable of the Good Samaritan?
