We are a community in Marin County made up of people whose hearts are devoted to Jesus and His Kingdom, extending a warm and safe welcome to all, across generations and backgrounds, so they can come to know Jesus, grow in their faith, and be launched to live out their God-given calling.

Our Vision: Why we do what we do

We are a church that is rooted in Jesus, reaching Marin, and raising up the next generation.

Our Mission: What we do to accomplish our vision

We engage with the spiritually hungry, toward a life in Christ, that is inspired, intelligent, and involved.

We believe that God is always at work, drawing people toward His Son, Jesus. As a church, we are committed to creating space for anyone who is spiritually hungry to find belonging as they explore this journey. Whether someone is full of faith, full of questions, or somewhere in between, we want to meet them with hospitality and honesty, trusting that God is already moving in their life.

Our direction is clear: we are moving toward a life in Christ. We are shaped by the life-changing encounters we have had with Jesus, and we long to align more and more of our lives with His. This journey of transformation is ongoing, but it is not aimless. We are pursuing a life that honors Christ, is rooted in Christ, and reflects Christ in both word and deed.

We long for a faith that is inspired, intelligent, and involved. This means we are driven by mission, fueled by piety, and grounded in orthodoxy. We are missional in purpose, believing that we exist for the sake of others and are called to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus in our everyday lives. We are pietistic in devotion, cultivating a sincere relationship with Jesus that shapes our hearts and actions. We are orthodox in belief, rooted in the historic truths of the Christian faith found in Scripture, affirmed by the ancient creeds, and agreed upon in our denominational affirmations. Together, these convictions guide us as we follow Jesus with purpose and joy.

Our Priorities: How we do what God has called us to do

At Marin Covenant Church, we seek to honor Jesus by faithfully living into the distinct calling He has given us in this community.

Our three core ministry priorities reflect how we steward this calling with purpose and intentionality here at MCC.

Our three priorities are Worship, Discipleship, and Families.

Our Culture: The values that inform us along the way

We are people transformed by the love of Jesus and compelled to share that love with one another, our country, and the world.
We embody a culture defined by the following values:

Generosity: We are warm-hearted and welcoming to all spiritually hungry people in their pursuit of Christ. Within our church family,
we express generosity through collaboration, mutual care, shared responsibility, and encouragement. We accomplish far more together than we could alone.

Excellence: We believe every person is called and gifted by God. We bring our best as an act of worship and a way to serve others. We pursue excellence by offering our talents with purpose, knowing our work contributes to God’s mission in Marin County and beyond.

Joy: We serve out of our God-given strengths, aligned with our calling and empowered by the Holy Spirit. Joy is the natural fruit of
this alignment, and it remains, even in the midst of challenge, because we know who we are and who we belong to.

Safety: We are committed to cultivating physical, emotional, and spiritual safety. We want our church to be a place where people can breathe, trust, and be fully present. This kind of peace makes space for healing, belonging, and the work of the Holy Spirit to move with power in each person’s life.

Empowerment: We are passionate about helping people discover their God-given gifts, passions, and calling. Our goal is to
equip and support them as they put those gifts into action for the building up of the church and the expanding of God’s kingdom in the world.

What to Expect

Here is what to expect on a sunday morning.

Sunday morning gatherings are a vital part of our week at Marin Covenant Church. Our congregation is diverse in both background and socio-economic status. We are united by a shared, heartfelt devotion to God and each other.

A typical gathering runs just over one hour. The experience is filled with dynamic and uplifting messages, worship, and prayer. We are a joy-filled congregation who believes that a transformed life emanates the sweet fragrance of Christ and reflects the eternal truths of God's character, love, and mercy.

We provide opportunities for children, middle school and high school students to gather during the 9:00am service. During this time they engage with the MCC’s vision and values in ways designed specifically for them.

We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of every month.

Join us onsite Sundays, 9am & 10:45am.

FOR CHILDREN
Birth through 5th grade

We have an amazing program for kids, led by an incredible staff and volunteer team. Children begin their morning with their parents in the worship gathering and are dismissed 10 minutes into the service.

Please come find us and introduce yourself at the children's ministry check-in desk. Email our CM director, Stacie stacie@marincovenant.org with questions.

FOR STUDENTS
6th through 12th grade

Middle School students are invited to attend Sunday School in the youth room at 9:00 am. Students have waffles, enjoy games, and experience engaging teaching and conversation. This program is designed to encourage our students on their walk of faith.

Students join the larger church for worship and communion on the first Sunday of the month.

High School students join the larger church for worship and sit on the lefthand side of the Worship Center.

Email our Pastor of Students, Shelly shelly@marincovenant.org with questions.

Because we value relationships and knowing you by name, our pastoral team looks forward to meeting you and hearing your story.
