Tim helps lead Family Forum Japan – an organization that uses family issues as a medium for sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ around Japan, through publications, radio, the internet, seminars and lectures. Apart from administrative functions, Tim does a lot of preaching, teaching and writing.

Katie is coordinating outreach to international high school students who come from about 90 different countries to attend the International School of Asia in Karuizawa (ISAK). This involves a weekly Bible study, planning outreach activities, and discipling and counseling students.

Tim and Katie assist in the ministry of two local churches (outside Karuizawa) Shinshu Community Church in the neighboring town, and Liyama Bible Center about 90 minutes to the northwest, a church they helped start back in the 1990s. They have 5 grown children and 6 grandchildren.
